2007 we (Justin and Long) tried to step into music artist management. We figured it was mostly common sense, business expertise, and hard work. However since we were working with a lazy rock band (not be named because they don't deserve the credit) and the music industry was snooty a**holes filled with namedroppers, we took a break.
Also a year later the music industry climate changed. Labels were losing power and the Internet was becoming the equalizer for all small artists. Tacky Myspace was becoming less and less important for music marketing as other social sites such as Twitter, Digg, Facebook, and Stumble Upon became important for information distribution.
With us personally, we build a more concrete network in music/technology/media industries and started to get a better grasp on the Music Industry again. In fact we started to have the upper advantage using graphic design, social marketing, and just common sense (Not using Myspace).
So here we are again in Music Management with "Smart and Angry Management" with more knowledge and skills, but with the same %100 Effort.
