New 2pac Tracks
Sunday, December 2, 2007 at 11:01AM I Used to always listen to 2pac when I was younger. After his death I still used to buy his albums. I think the last 2pac project I had interest in was Rap Phenomenon II. To this day I think that is the only mixtape I can still listen to now.
However the 2pac content started to get out of control with the revisions and the horrible production and editing. When Eminem started to get involved and when 2pac's words were starting to get alterd such as saying "G-Unit" and "Trick Daddy," I think they went too far. Now you have Suge Knight trying to have lame Nu Mixx versions and 2pac's verses are either sped up or slowed down, and not even done with the greatest quality.
Now we have another greatest hits cd, which doesn't make sense when the one in 1999 was perfect. Hell, the song"Changes" was a smash hit and the album did 9x or 8x platinum. This album just has a collection of some pre death and the corporate 2pac songs on it. What they are trying to reel in is the 2 unreleased tracks:
2pac - Dopefiend Dinners
This song was probably during his Makaveli Stage as he tries to be creative with the sample
2pac - Resist the Temptation
Obviously this is probably off his demo stages when he still had his flat top
Now I can see why the owners of the Beatles catalog are so strict and not allowing projects such as The Gray Album to happen. If you really want to support 2pac, why don't you donate to his TASF.org where they send kids to camp:
Since 1999, TASF’s annual Performing Arts Camps (PAC) have provided quality training and support for youth who aspire to enhance their creative talents. Classes have included Acting, Creative Writing, Dance, Vocal Training, Set and Stage Design, Business of Entertainment, and Video Production.
"To date, over 300 youth ages 12-18 have participated in this annual summer camp. The skills acquired from the intense 4 week training period, culminates into Closing Ceremony Production. Auditions are NOT required of our students."
If you are a still hardcore 2pac fan, then donate here, otherwise look for the other albums coming out Dec. 4th
