The other day I decided to check out this video of MTV2's Sucker Free Summit. I was expecting Drake, Gucci Man, and Eminem to occupy my the next 45 minutes accepting awards. surprisingly instead there was rap that I had never listened too and a few of my favorites as well on the list as well as your usual bigger named Hip Hop artist. Yet the surprise of the show was when group for Instant Classic announced its winner...

Yes!!!! The Voodoo Man, aka Mr Badu, was a winner! I mean this song was crazy, but for the masses to actually considerate this up for not just nomination, but also a win? Yeah, I almost cried as well. After all the Eminem, Gucci, and Drake hype, and that trash they play on the radio today, we finally have a public win for the other music. Music that isn't trying to fit the radio format, or end up in "da clubs" or the "da streets". What's especially surprising is the competition that he beat out. Could this be a the second coming of 1993 by chance? By 1993 I speak of when Arrested Development got the time to shine...
Maybe balance might be restored to "The Force" after all

So there was another MTV Movie Awards that happened last night, and people were hooked onto the staged Eminem teabagged skit. I still don't understand why people continue to watch a fake awards show that is one big 2 hour fest of promotions for upcoming movies by the presenters. It's just one big 2 hour commercial with fake awards.
This brings up a thought I had: if the majority of people keep complaining that MTV doesn't show music videos and have too many reality shows, (Kinda like @JV) then why do YOU keep watching the network?
I always hear stuff like "I hate watching MTV but I like to see how bad the shows are (you don't do Cocaine cause you want to see negative effects, to which MTV has the same negative effects)" or "I hate watching it but they are going to premire a music video/trailer (Just be patient and wait for it to go online)." The fact that you still contribute by watching the channel, you help them.
People complain that the MTV Executives are stupid and keep having dumb programming. However I think they are smart because they are feeding stupid people trash in which they pay Comcast to watch trivial and unoriginal stuff like "Bromance."
So lesson here: You have the right to complain about MTV, once you stop watching it.

Im tired of people getting paid to write stupid stories about music artists which have nothing to do with the music they play! Here's a good example from last week.

'I'm happy for myself, too. I'll probably get to wear a tux,' FOB's Patrick Stump says.

And????? Yes that is actually a quote from the interview.
Im glad that MTV news is able to provide us with such in depth news still.
