And now here is the scores of each album with the nominations:

Grammy Nominations:

Album of the Year:
I Am…Sasha Fierce — Beyoncé (62)
The E.N.D. — The Black Eyed Peas (60)
The Fame — Lady Gaga (71)
Big Whiskey And The Groogrux King — Dave Matthews Band (67)
Fearless — Taylor Swift (73)

None of these albums come close to the 30th album scoring with an 83. However in the song of the year category:

Song of the Year:
Poker Face — Lady Gaga & RedOne, songwriters (Lady Gaga)
Pretty Wings — Hod David & Musze, songwriters (Maxwell)
Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It) — Thaddis Harrell, Beyoncé Knowles, Terius Nash & Christopher Stewart, songwriters (Beyoncé)
Use Somebody — Caleb Followill, Jared Followill, Matthew Followill & Nathan Followill, songwriters (Kings of Leon)
You Belong With Me — Liz Rose & Taylor Swift, songwriters (Taylor Swift)

Maxwell gets a nod here. Lets see the rap:

Best Rap Album
Common – Universal Mind Control (53)
Eminem – Relapse (59)
Flo Rida – R.O.O.T.S. (62)
Mos Def – The Ecstatic (81)
Q-Tip – The Renaissance (82)

For some reason Raekwon has the 4th highest score of 86 (2nd if you ignore the live albums) out of all the albums put together but gets snubbed. Oddly 808's & Heartbreaks gets no nods at all. Also Scarface's Emertitus is eligible for this years Grammy with a score of 85 and gets no love. Well at least no Soulja Boy...

But the oddest Nod goes to:

Best Rap/Sung Collaboration
Beyoncé & Kanye West – “Ego”
Keri Hilson, Kanye West & Ne-Yo – “Knock You Down”
Jay-Z, Rihanna & Kanye West – “Run This Town”
The Lonely Island & T-Pain – “I’m On A Boat” <------------WTF???????
T.I. & Justin Timberlake – “Dead And Gone”

Your thoughts..

Norah Jones - Chasing Pirates (Remix Feat Santigold & Snotty)

Progress Report for the XXL Freshmen 10 Hip-Hop’s Class Of 09: Mikey Factz

Around 2007 when I first started this blog Via "smartandangry.blogspot.com" this was the first promo email that was sent to me. I didn't even have the blog running no more than 2 months and a publicist hit me up about this guy. My opinion about Mickey Factz was that he was a 1/3rd version of Kanye, too heavily focused on the 80's Back to the Future tip. However Mickey Factz was gaining more and more buzz all over the blogs and youtube video interviews, in which led him up to this cover.

Now it seems that his PR people left him as he almost fell off the blogosphere. Every Now and then you would see a feature from Mickey Factz. Fortunately he is on the Rock the Bells tour and putting his hard work in by touring, however he has yet  had a breakout song or single that you can pinpoint Micky Factz for. One positive thing I can say is he had this cover before wale:

pharrell williams - despicable me

Colin Munroe - Start A War

Andre 3000 - Lookin' 4 Ya Featuring A whole lotta dj drops
