And now here is the scores of each album with the nominations:
Grammy Nominations:
Album of the Year:
I Am…Sasha Fierce — Beyoncé (62)
The E.N.D. — The Black Eyed Peas (60)
The Fame — Lady Gaga (71)
Big Whiskey And The Groogrux King — Dave Matthews Band (67)
Fearless — Taylor Swift (73)
None of these albums come close to the 30th album scoring with an 83. However in the song of the year category:
Song of the Year:
Poker Face — Lady Gaga & RedOne, songwriters (Lady Gaga)
Pretty Wings — Hod David & Musze, songwriters (Maxwell)
Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It) — Thaddis Harrell, Beyoncé Knowles, Terius Nash & Christopher Stewart, songwriters (Beyoncé)
Use Somebody — Caleb Followill, Jared Followill, Matthew Followill & Nathan Followill, songwriters (Kings of Leon)
You Belong With Me — Liz Rose & Taylor Swift, songwriters (Taylor Swift)
Maxwell gets a nod here. Lets see the rap:
Best Rap Album
Common – Universal Mind Control (53)
Eminem – Relapse (59)
Flo Rida – R.O.O.T.S. (62)
Mos Def – The Ecstatic (81)
Q-Tip – The Renaissance (82)
For some reason Raekwon has the 4th highest score of 86 (2nd if you ignore the live albums) out of all the albums put together but gets snubbed. Oddly 808's & Heartbreaks gets no nods at all. Also Scarface's Emertitus is eligible for this years Grammy with a score of 85 and gets no love. Well at least no Soulja Boy...
But the oddest Nod goes to:
Best Rap/Sung Collaboration
Beyoncé & Kanye West – “Ego”
Keri Hilson, Kanye West & Ne-Yo – “Knock You Down”
Jay-Z, Rihanna & Kanye West – “Run This Town”
The Lonely Island & T-Pain – “I’m On A Boat” <------------WTF???????
T.I. & Justin Timberlake – “Dead And Gone”
Your thoughts..
Norah Jones - Chasing Pirates (Remix Feat Santigold & Snotty)
Dres of Black Sheep - Doin It Wrong
Snoop Dogg - Special Feat Brandy, Pharrell

I usually don't support "Mindless Thug-anomics" but people have the right to free speech to create anything they want. Also to sample someone's work with Admiration with no intention of making a dime off it should be ok. However "The Machine" thought differently in this situation in which is explained below
As many of you know, I’ve been preparing to releasing an exciting mixtape this summer called Southerngold. Basically, me mixing my favorite Southern rap vocals over remixed samples of my favorite Santigold influenced samples and tracks.
However, as I am about to release my mix on the internet tonight... literally, I am sitting at my desk in Brooklyn uploading the mix to YouSendIt.com, I get a cease and desist from lawyers at Santigold’s label, Downtown Records.
I’m not selling this, I’m not making a dime. I’m encouraging everyone to BUY Santigold’s album and I’m helping to expand her fan base to new markets. In addition, none of these songs are as they would appear on her actual album. EVERYTHING is remixed and redone so there is no competition with her actual in-stores album... It’s ironic that Downtown Records biggest group was signed due to a project with similar ambitions, Gnarls Barkley’s Danger Mouse with The Grey Album.
Sincerely,
Terry Urban
