And I say to myself, what a Waka-free world

I have a problem with rapper Waka Flocka Flame. Which I'm sure that he doesn't care about since as most rappers say they are “out here gettin that papa”. Or maybe he does, since he spends a lot of time denouncing his critics in song and youtube videos. I honestly have only heard one or two of his songs from the man and that was more than enough for me. Usually I am able to laugh at someone or make fun of them, this is so bad that I can't even begin to laugh. I am crying instead, deeply hurt that a black man in 2010 could stoop this low.

At some point someone has to say enoug.! As Chris Rock said “I am tired of niggers! Tired, Tired, tired tired!. This self degrading so-called “art” that is plaguing the African-American image is frustrating. I don't fully know the whole story of this man, but for someone to openly admit that he “isn't a rapper” and is “an entertainer” and convey the image that he does is unacceptable. Normally I just try to ignore things such as this, as time usually takes its course, and they disappear in the background(usually). This is too much this time, he has reached the Tyler Perry status in my eyes. If what he was doing was at least creative I wouldn't be as offended by the man. There is nothing to this guy though, shoot! At least Soljah Boy has a dance. Whats this guy have? A bunch of yelling of his name and a rap alias derived from a Muppet.

Due to the current “popularity” as well as stupidity of this artist, I am declaring this site a Waka-Free Zone. This will kind of be like a drug free-zone enforced in public schools today. Only difference is if there is an artist who chooses to link up and create music with this character for the sake of “love” or most likely “paper” we will no longer be promoting or caring about that artist who chooses to do so. No exceptions. We will have nothing to do with this man. I don't care if the man was really in flames and I am standing next to him with a fire extinguisher, I say let him burn(joking but I would have to deeply consider my actions beforehand).

Wale is the first and most likely not the last. Though I did for the most part enjoy his music even his mediocre album and horrible first single I could bare with it. Yet on his latest mixtape he choose to include a feature with Mr Muppet himself(or as Bobojojo says Kel “of Goodburger fame” Clone). I was very disappointed by that inclusion so much so that I had stopped listening to that mixtape shortly after its release. Than came the last straw, I mean I am a forgiving man but to turn around and guest star on Waka's Flokavelli lp was almost more upsetting to see. That to me is a sign of a lack of artistic integrity. Every thing that Wale represented when down the drain with these two songs basically.

I don't care if Wale goes on to become the next Miles Davis or Mozart, I am not checking for anything this man has to offer. Nor any other artist that chooses to associate with Waka Flocka Flame from this moment on. This day forward Smartandangry.com and anything else that I Justa am down associate with is declared to be a Waka-Free Zone.

Yeah I said it! What you need to do is get back ”- Posdnous

GRIND (Get Ready It’s A New Day)

Asher Roth - G.R.I.N.D.

Most of us at one time or another are guilty of wanting something that will give us ultimate happiness. Admit it, there had been that one time you thought that new girlfriend/boyfriend, promotion, extra cash, etc. etc, would solve all your problems. However in real life spouses leave, crappy economies make people lose jobs, money runs out, in general things end.

I look back in my life with that kind of thinking and almost chuckle at the idea of that saving "Ideal" moment to where all your problems end and everything is put on autopilot. To put it bluntly, life can be hard as things will change at a drop of a dime. Your comfortable state can be changed overnight.

Thats why I've strived to work hard and have 3 different things going on. Even when one thing is sucessful, I have a back up plan. Asher Roth's "G.R.I.N.D." hits very close to home as he states you have to get ready for a new day no matter how well or bad things are going.

I may sound negative about life, but I am trying to be realistic. Also don't get me wrong I love where I am and what I've accomplished such as making websites, (Latest one is Tanya Morgan''s Website), Meeting great Music artists through theFIVE10.com, and getting paid to tell people to do pushups. However what I learned is that no matter how great or terrible things are going, you have to grind and continuing to work hard. Yes many opportuinites can come, but those opportunities never last forever.

As I am turning 25 years old on the 5th of this month of September, I've changed my ways from focusing on the goals in life, and more towards living in the pursuit (Cause that's where the most fun is).

Technicolor Lover W/ @AmandaDiva and @QLedbetter

Amanda Diva and Q. Ledbetter have a new project called "Technicolor Lover" on Creativecontrol.TV. They are small video vinettes that are shot using the Canon 5d Mark ii. Seeing the two evolve from doing Divaspeak TV to this is a major upgrade and I am happy for them both. If you haven't seen it, here is episode 2:
